I was inspired by the shaving cream stenciling tutorial to try shaving cream embossing. So far the results are mixed and I'm calling it a technique in progress. It can definitely use some refinement, but I think is has potential. More info and pictures in this post on my blog: https://stampwithdiane.blogspot.com/...embossing.html
thanks for looking!
And if someone has already tried this with better results and has tips to offer, that would be great. Please leave them here or via comment on my blog.

Your card look squite festive, Diane, and bravo for thinking outside the box . . . Now I'm curious to try that concept and see what comes of it!

Love all the happy colors of this fun filled birthday card!
As to pointers, you usually get the best impression with the first smooshing. Really, it's all a matter of what you like. Try different mediums in the shaving cream. As with anything where you deal with a lot of colors, remember, too many will get you mud.
A good tool to use to get the shaving cream off, is a dry wall spreader. You can get some that are quite wide. Some come in packs of 3 or 4 different sizes, I found them at Home Depot. They are black plastic.
