When I made my other HELLO card, I liked it, but wished the letters were a bit more vibrant. I had tested using glossy accents on them, which did enhance the color, but it made the ink bleed into the letters. So I decided to try clear embossing them instead. No bleeding and it, too, enhanced the colors.
Die cut rectangle from Bazzill Diamond Blink cardstock using MFT In and Out stitched rectangles.
Used my MISTI to position the HELLO letters from Owen's ABCs. Stamped each letter twice with Lawn Fawn dye ink blocks. Cleaned off the dye ink and stamped again with Versamark and clear embossed. Reinked with Versamark and clear embossed a second time. This got me closer to the look I wanted, but I still wanted more dimension. Soooo, I used glossy accents to cover letters. Was a little impatient and checked if they were dry too soon and messed up the glossy accents on the H. So I put another coat of the glossy accents on each letter and let dry overnight.
Stamped, colored and die cut my dog. Ran some Wink of Stella over the dog's fur and added glossy accents to the dog's collar tag. Die cut 2 blanks to add stability and dimension to the dog. Ran black marker along edge to finish it off.
Matted my focal panel to black Bazzill panel. Cut yellow Bazzill panel slightly smaller than my card base. Added matted focal panel. Used pop dots to add the dog.
This will go in my happy mail stash for church shut-ins.
TFL!
