Playing with some stamps from a Tim Holtz "kit" I picked up with my 40% off coupon at Hobby Lobby last night.
I stamped and colored the dog then used matching die to cut him out. Die cut 2 blanks to layer so make him more sturdy and give him dimension. Ran a black marker over the edges to give a more finished look.
I used stitched border die from A Jillian Vance to edge a scrap of striped DSP to use for some grass. Sponged some Bazzill Diamond Bling cardstock with Lawn Fawn dye ink in Mermaid.
Stamped sentiment on a scrap of white cardstock and cut out with one of the conversation bubbles from MFT smart phone dienamics set.
Assembled the card. Ran some Wink of Stella over the dog before adding Glossy Accents to his eyes, his collar tag and his nose. When that all dried, I decided that big nose of his needed a second layer of Glossy Accents so I added that as well.
Inside sentiment: Just wanted to say hi
This will go in my happy mail stash for the nursing home.
TFL!

This is adorable Debbie. Great job with your new stamp set ... 40% off is a great deal! Love the patterned paper for the grass, and the soft sponging of blue in the background. This will make some one very happy! xx
