For Dawn's no stamps vsn challenge, and for this week's odd sayings free-for-all challenge. Around here, "up river" has a specific meaning. We've a region about twenty miles southeast of town, centered around the Row (rhymes with how now brown cow) River. Row, meaning feud. Lots of feuds over history-- I taught grade school up river for five years, and learned to respect/love the folk. That's not always the case with those of us who live in town.
Up river means lots of lumber, some gold mining, and other less reputable, risky endeavors. If you know what I mean.

Very cool Brenda! I love your trees and starry sky and also the river you created!! I know what you mean about "up river" Not sure if we call it the same but, know what you mean!

What a lovely die cut card, Brenda. The story bg looks wonderful. Such pretty shades of blue and green. The different sized trees create a terrific 3d look.
