What a fun project! When I saw the tutorial I knew immediately what stamp quote I wanted to use, and everything else flowed from that. I gessoed the mat board pieces and slapped on some acrylic paint. I had a photo of a poppy I was going to use then I decided to have a go at painting the poppy first. Knowing I could cover any mess with the photo freed me up and I loved the flower I did! I stamped and embossed the quote onto tissue paper and used a matt gel medium to stick it to the second panel. I had hoped the gel medium would make the tissue paper more transparent but I think it still looks ok. I joined the two panels with plain red washi tape, not wanting any design or pattern to distract from the flower and quote. Finally I covered the pieces in a gloss sealant although that doesn't show up so well in the photo.
