SC635 Poinsettia Greetings

Poster: DCinkit

This is for my Sketch Challenge 635. See it here.

Sketch Challenge 635 {03/08/17} by DCinkit at Splitcoaststampers

I'm diligently trying to use up old supplies and enjoying that task. For the white panel, I inked up the poinsettia, stamped it off once and lightly stamped it for a background and then gold embossed the sentiment over it. A thin strip of paper was adhered and folded around the sides. The small poinsettia was gold embossed and colored with marker and ink, then fussy cut and raised up on Dimensionals. I used a retired DSP that had a pattern that was perfect for the poinsettia theme. The paper colors use two retired reds and two greens, one retired. This card is also be linked to the Christmas Card Challenge for March - poinsettia theme. Thanks for looking! Hope you can use the sketch.

Even though the focal panel is an non-traditional shape, you could easily duplicate this card many times for Christmas. Pretty papers and the stamped-off poinsettia really looks nice.

I have that paper too, and I love how you used it to make it this card. Beautiful Christmas card! Love the subtle stamped poinsettia to match the dsp.

Beautiful! I still have some of that gorgeous poinsettia paper and I use it carefully because I love it so much and will be very sad when it's all gone! I love the lightly stamped poinsettia on your white panel and the small popped-up poinsettia at the side. Straight into my faves

I love it! And I love your quest to use up old stuff. I've got major home renovations planned--I have to get into this habit as well! Your beautiful card is an inspiration!

I am with you on depleting my piles of papers, and also using old stamps that I insist on keeping. Old things need to feel loved too, and my goodness, they still create beautiful cards. I love that you did a Christmas card, I had to join you with that theme.
