I'm "die-ing" because this card took me FOREVER to make. It's that "happy" die cut. I respect all of you who use intricate die cuts regularly. I simply don't have the patience for them.
The dies I used for this card are the Little Yellow Bicycle "happy" die, Darice Embossing Essentials Oval dies, and Simon Says Stamp stitched circles dies and Cottage Cutz stitched rectangles dies.
I cut the CS for the glass to 4.25" x 3", rounded the corners and sponged a little shadow on the bottom of the glass. Then I used my smallest and third to smallest oval dies to cut the handle and sponged a shadow on the bottom and inside of the handle.
I cut the beer in the glass in strips of 3.75" x .75", rounded the corners and sponged with Distress scattered straw. Then I die cut the smallest and next to smallest stitched circle dies five times from white CS and sponged them with scattered straw. Assembled and added some reflection with white gel pen. The BG panel is die cut from DP from the "Against the Grain" paper pack from the Paper Studio. I wanted a dark wood panel look for the BG to give my card a pub feel.
Because I'm still needing masculine birthday cards...this one is going to my boss.

Cheers!! I love the result even if it took you so much time and I've got some dies too difficult to use, I think your boss will love this card, my husband would like it for sure!!

Awesome design!!!!! I will definitely borrow this idea in the future and link back to you! I know what you mean about the die cut words.....I have tried several different methods for adhering them and they are all tough! Glad you stuck with it, because it's a fantastic card!!

I have made a couple beer cards and this is by far better than the ones I have made. I am going to have to look in to those oval die cuts they work wonderfully for the beer card.

Jen, I LOVE your card....having a couple of beer lovers/beer brewers in the family, I have added appreciation of your card. Love how you did the foam with shaded circles. Very creative...and TERRIFIC!
