A couple weeks ago, we had an incredibly bright moon and a couple inches of snow. The moon reflected so brightly on the snow that it was almost like daylight in the middle of the night and there were snowflakes falling lightly due to the "Lee of the Sea" effect we sometimes get being so close to the ocean. It was beautiful. So, that's where my lighting came from for this card.
I masked the snow drifts first and sponged the edges. Masked the moon and sponged the sky. Die cut the trees and colored. Die cut the deer and colored his antlers and hooves with nude to darken just a little. Sponged just a hint of color across the moon for a touch of snow clouds. Dotted the sky with enamel dots for falling snow. Die cut the scene, the tan mat and the sentiment and assembled onto a white base.

Wonderful scene, and thanks for the story of the inspiration behind it. Your sky is fantastic!

I love it! And you clouds across your moon are really fab. There's nothing like a bright, snowy night. One of my favorite things it Christmas lights reflecting on the snow, so I really enjoyed that little snowfall for the Christmas light reflection.
