Here is another card, (actually, the first one I started) for IC574 Rachelle Levengston on Etsy. This card was inspired by the pumpkins thumbnail image.
I started out by creating a watercolor with brushos background then stamping the butterfly (too many times) in distress stain using my MISTI. The paper became oversaturated with water, ink, and stain and the butterfly stamped portion became a blobby blur, that I had to walk away from it. Fast forward to last night, I returned to it and I decided to restamp the butterfly (smart me for leaving the butterfly in the MISTI, best decision ever). This time I went with a brown tone vs. the previous orangey/red I was using. I started to like it! I added the grass and splatters, then I split stamped the sentiment, but didn't mask well for the top portion as I inadvertently made an error. Oh well...still uploading.
