WooHoo it is Tickle a Teapotter time of the month and Carla has written a terrific story and given us a fun challenge for our teaparty. We Teapotters are to bring lots of hats to the party and bonus cookies for accessories.
Kylie Kardashian decided that a handbag and shoes would detract from here gorgeous new bikini. I searched the internet for a Carmen Miranda `bowl of fruit' hat...no luck, but I'm going to keep looking.
It is hard to tell if Gertie and Penny are in awe of being in the presence of Kylie Kardashian or if they are surprised that the region surrounding her downstairs lady bits needs some urgent attention!!
Now about the card, I started by placing the three girls in my MISTI. Gertie and Penny were stamped with Versafine Sepia, Kylie with Versafine onyx black. I then stamped them onto X-Press It Mask It using Ranger Archival.
This is a brilliant product. It is a low tack flexible masking film. You can use it over and over - I store the masks with the rubber stamp. It is super thin which makes it easy to work with.
After masking the girls, I coloured the grass and sky using the Smack & Squirt technique (smack distress ink pad onto al foil, squirt on water and using a foam blending tool, scrub the inky water onto the cardstock, add a bit more colour without adding water).
Leaving the masks in place I stamped on the tree trunk, leaves, sweet little flowers (RAK from Sabrina). Walnut stain distress ink was sponged around the edges followed by a doodled border using a fine micron pen.
All the foliage was stamped with Memento Luxe - Espresso Truffle. The colour is like a dull matt (almost) black, I didn't want a silhouette look, so this colour is a good option.
Once everything was nice and dry, I attached the panel to the card base and removed the masks. Gertie and Penny were coloured with pencils, Copics and paint. I drew Kylies bikini straight onto her body with coloured pencils and Copics, then scribbled a rough outline with a fine black pen. The girls hats are all courtesy of a free stamp set that came with a magazine (unfortunately name of mag and stamp are unknown). Stamp, colour and fussy cut hats. I then used the cool grey Copic C4 to outline the girls, this gives them a bit of a 3D look.
I finished off by adding some red stickles and white paint spots using Dylusions white paint and the pointy end of a paint brush. It is always hard for me to step away from these types of cards; it would be an understatement to say I had fun making this. Can't wait to find out where the girls are traveling to!!
Thank you for looking and I hope you have a happy, inky week.
NOTE: Katzelkraft stamps are unmounted red rubber, just use a school glue stick to adhere to MISTI, to change the stamps position just slide it to the correct place. Simply wipe MISTI and stamp with a baby wipe when you are finished.

Wow, this is a bright and beautiful card, Susie! You make such beautiful bikinis and to have a Kardashian model one for you is superb! She is gorgeous with her pearls, especially the one in her belly button! Her hat is striking and she certainly is strutting her stuff! Gertie and Penny are gorgeous in their red hats as well. They probably are in awe of Kylie, enjoying her beauty. My friend, you created a marvelous background for the three, and you are a great story teller!! Hugs!

Susie, I demand you insert a "Warning: beverage spitting description ahead" in your cards from now on. Gertie and Penny do seem to be carefully looking away from Kylie's "downstairs lady bits!" Fabulous scene and those girls are bringing such fashionable hats to Hottentot. I hope to see all three in the parade. Kylie, of course, will be a scene stealer. Another marvelous card and story, friend!
PS - Thanks for playing in my challenge!

Oh my gosh what you do with that penguin makes me roll with laughter! LOVE that bikini and those hats! You always get the hats to fit! Just amazing. And THANK you for the tip on Mask-It. In yet another senior moment I stamped on it with dye in and no need to tell you what happened when I tried to cut it! Impression gone! Never thought to use Ranger Archival. Now I can dust mine off and use it. This is one, brilliant and SO fun card and it LOOKS like you had fun doing it!

LOVE your two birds!!! Very Stylish and Refined. And, of course, Ms, Kardashian!!! Gertie, on the right, appears to be trying to not look at Ms. Kardashian. A Stylish and Refined lady does not EVER show that she is aghast at what has presented itself directly in front of her. (Not that there is anything wrong with Ms. Kardashian's downstairs lady bits {You're adorable Susie!}. After all, what God has ordained, let no man, or woman, smirk about). Penny, however, being fairly new to Society, has no such qualms about reacting and she is barely hiding her smirk. I bet she's thinking she is finally looking better, and much more classy, than a Kardashian. Her next move will probably be to energetically pump her arm ("scuse me...wing) and shout "YES!". Which will probably push her down several points on the "Classy" scale. Oops. Just relax and breathe, Penny. Stylish and Refined ladies must learn to control their inner guffaws (laughter and delight in the absurd)! Just concentrate on keeping that wing under control and you will fit in quite well in Stylish and Refined Society.
Susie, any and all of your birds are always such a delight!!!!! I'm in love with them all.
