Made for Thank Goodness It's Friday Favorites Challenge #75: http://tgifchallenges.blogspot.com/ in which we were to pick our favorite card from all those submitted this past month, and use it to inspire a card of our own.
I felt Jan Musselman's #TGIFC73 Halloween card was super cute (https://goo.gl/BxMS2L) so I adapted it using the Halloween stamps I had on hand.
The hardest part was getting the cutout circles lined up evenly. I used a 1.5" circle die and marked on the back of the panel where I felt the center of the circles should be. After that, it was a simple task of running the front Whisper White panel thru my Big Shot three times, then use the scallop circle die and 1.5" circle die to create the scallop frames around each round hole in the panel.
I stamped the three witch stamps onto Groovy Guava cardstock (from the 2010 catalog), rather than the more "orangey" colors that are in the current SU catalog. I felt the Groovy Guava made the card more feminine (as a shoe-themed card SHOULD be :-)
The tag was punched using the SU Scalloped Tag Punch. I wanted the sentiment to be highlighted, so chose to stamp it on Whisper White and center on the tag. Of course, any card about fashion needs to have bling, so I used some random sequins from my stash to "dress it up". The spider and it's web on the tag were from the SU Happy Scenes stamp set.
If I were to make this card again, I'd use a larger format (maybe A6) since the A2 size kinda crowds the card elements more than I typically like. but, it still turned out cute!

This is super cute! I love the use of the Groovy Guava to create a feminine look. Thanks for joining our "pick your favorites" challenge at TGIF. Smiles, Elizabeth
