For Audrie's Inspiration Challenge today we had a visit to Village Hat Shop. I immediately thought of the Afternoon Tea I had on Thursday and the ladies were dressed so nicely and we laughed about the fancy hats and white gloves. When I saw this hat I was reminded of my tea. I embossed my background to mimic the ribbon and die cut the flourishes from 40lb vellum, and a small butterfly from cardstock. I cut the strip of cardstock to mimic the ribbon around the hat, and ran it through with the stitched rectangle die to fit. I placed the strip in my Mini Misti so I could get my sentiment straight and stamped with the Intense Black Ink. A few sequins and a crystal to finish. Thanks for having a look today. Visit my Blog

What a gorgeous card Kia! I love the cream shades and the shimmer from the sequins! That embossing folder is amazing - I haven't seen it before. I really like the way you did the sentiment band! What a great design and so versatile for other occasions too. ...weddings come to mind immediately!
Such an elegant card, Kia! I LOVE the great embossing folder you used--Anna Griffin designs are wonderful! I love the use of vellum for the flourish, too!
