I printed a digi image of the sunflowers on the school ruled paper for the Mix challenge. I colored the flowers with Copics, then added some watercolor pencil around the flowers. I didn't like how daru it became so I added a white wash with kraft ink and water with a small paint brush. I stamped the grunge splatters and then added green splatters with acrylic paint. I added a diagonal piece of envelope that has a very cool texture like leather under part of the flowers that I had cut out with an exacto knife. I tied a ribbon around those two layers and mounted it on a Crushed Curry Base.

I love that you printed the flowers directly onto the lined paper, Pat, brilliant idea. I also love the way you cut them out so as to be able to slip the red panel under.

Now this is what mixed media is all about, wonderful layers. Your white paint wash was a great idea, that brings the flowers in to the main focus and the splatter balance out the darker watercolor. Love the process of this card and the way it turned out. So happy to see you in the Mix-Ability challenge, come back and play anytime!

Lovely card filled with pretty fall colors. Printing your image on what looks like ledger paper was a brilliant idea for the challenge. Your coloring is so beautifully done....I really like the watercolor quality of it.
