Poster: Weekend Warrior

For this week's colour challenge, our hostess Maura has chosen the colours Cherry Cobbler, Pool Party and Always Artichoke with bling as the dessert option.

I took my inspiration from the farmers markets that are full of fresh produce right now and used an older but much loved SU set called Homegrown. I stamped and water coloured my background panel and then layered vellum overtop to tone it down so it didn't overtake the sentiment. I added pearls which I coloured green for my bling (lame bling but I think it works!)

What a gorgeous card, my guest designer partner!! I love the produce in Always Artichoke and Cherry Cobbler, and the vellum muted the colors beautifully! The sentiment is colored so well, and the linen thread is a great embellishment! Great job, Cindy!!

Great card! I like that you were inspired by the farmer's markets. I love the veggies that are on your card, and how fitting this week's colors are for them. Your bling is perfect, how clever to color the pearls to match the color design.
