I searched and searched until I could search no more looking for a sun image. No luck there, so I opted to use a moon. I don't think I've ever used the sun on any of my cards. Of course, this required a little cheating today. I'm getting so used to this...
Prickley Pear has brought to market a beautiful set of Christmas birds and sentiments. I simply stamped this with barn door and swooshed the same ink pad across the bg.
Today's card is casing a gorgeous card created by SusanBri found here: Snowy Owl by susanbri at Splitcoaststampers. I only discovered this beauty today when I was looking through the cardinal birds gallery. Susan, your work is incredible.
I did add a twig from our backyard which looks like it went through a rough winter, so I added that and some gold frontage as Susan did and called it a day.

I thought it was just the winter sun. You know, just not as strong as the summer sun. This card is gorgeous. I think red is really hard to work with and you made it beautiful! The twig is a nice touch.

This is absolutely stunning Anne! All of your efforts paid off with big dividends here. I love this white moon keeping the card in the gorgeous red and white theme. Adding a branch from your own back yard is such a lovely touch, and the frantage looks just like snow falling and glistening in the moonlight. Simply wonderful! ~Karen.

This is such a cool card, Anne! Got a chuckle out of the cheating thing too since I too, don't believe I've ever used a sun. Love the deep red you achieved here and the twig was such a great touch. The Frantage looks terrific with this!

Dear Anne, I Adore your gold frantage because it reminds me of splatters! Wow! Love all that red...the cardinal is Virginia's state bird & I just love watching them. It's so fun to see the males on a branch of snow in the winter months. Lovely added twig for your cardinal to perch on~

Ms. Anne, please cheat more often as this card is splendid in the red and white with the cardinal sitting in the moonlight on his special twig!! So very clever to add the twig to the card as it adds dimension and a piece of nature. Glad you couldn't find a sun! lol. You're an amazing artist, my friend!

Adding a natural element with the twig really brings so much life to this! It would be very nice without the twig but I really do think it adds a lot. Beautiful!
