This is a card I made for the OCC Sheer and Clear class that focuses on ways to use acetate in creating your projects. This looks difficult, but really, it isn't! I've used a similar technique in the past on plain cs, but using acetate gives a totally different effect.
Basically, you cover a piece of acetate with Sookwang tape, and die cut the liner. Expose the sticky on the acetate and CAREFULLY place the diecut liner back down. Remove the pieces that you want to color first, and burnish the glitter into the adhesive (be sure your remaining die cut pieces are attached firmly to the adhesive). Continue removing parts of the die cut piece and applying the color you choose. I cut the liner where it connected to the bird and left it in place so I could spotlight him with red.
Attach the layer to the card base with temporary adhesive and open the card. Position the die on the card front that you are using to cut the opening, and cut through both layers at the same time, so the opening lines up perfectly. gently separate the layer, attach the acetate piece, and permanently adhere the layer to the card front, being sure to line up the openings. I added a simple die cut greeting, but if you wanted to stamp and heat emboss, do it BEFORE you attach the acetate. The heat from the gun could warp or even melt your acetate if it isn't heat resistant.
As always, thanks for looking!

Wow, this one jumped out of the gallery at me this morning - what a cool way to use acetate and sookwang - the glittery ornament looks really elegant and really does look like sparkly stained glass!!

Only you could ever create a card like this, Jody. Goodness, it's difficult to believe it was easy given your directions. The acetate definitely does produce a very distinctly different appearance. That glitter is gorgeous and makes your card look glorious in your frame. Only you ....
