high. I take my heels off to Shoe Girl for suggesting using print of book pages in the Ways to Use it this week. In honor of her love of shoes, I thought I'd go Italian (they do know how to fashion a high heel!). The large panel was stamped with an Italian letter print in the 'Watering Can' gray as well as the vertical narrow panel, which is a scripty diamond repeat. Hard to believe I had a shoe image I did NOT stamp for this card.
The shoes were all inked and stamped in different colors and patterns. The beautiful Fuchsia pump was overstamped on a scrap of moire stain. The umbrella pump was stamped on a snippet of Basic Grey patterned paper which has clouds and rain. The yellow is perfect for an afternoon out shopping for more shoes, right??? The sensible Oxford gillie in brown and the wingtip patent blue and white so practical for us working gals.
But my fav...of course the red high heel with the band around the ankle, bow in back.
I used the Sketch SC585 as the bones of my card, thank you Ally. I am enjoyed these very linear layouts.
Please leave a shoe story if you care to comment. I recall 'testing' my soon to be husband by saying:
'I have 90 pairs of shoes, how do you feel about a shoe luv'ing girl?' Of course, he passed the test. Sadly, my feet now protest if I try to squeeze them into the latest Italian model...

You had my attention at the shoe images...I was going to stop and peek at this one for sure! Love the shoes, love the script and the layout is fantastic for this card too. I have 88 pairs of shoes and am sure trying to get my little guy to understand the importance of keeping shoes nice. They are one of the first things many see. So hopefully I read down all the way to the bottom of your details and this will count as my test. Did I pass? Oh and I do have trouble with Italian shoes too, they don't convert very well to US sizes and what I would get if I wore a 9 is what I should get if I needed an Italian shoe in my true size. Giggles!!!

'Instruments of torture' ... how right Brenda is!! Your shoe/print card is fabulous! My chosen profession kept me out of heels and in 'sensible' walking/standing shoes, none nearly as attractive as your heels! So glad Reed passed your test. Your creation is a hoot and I love the sentiment.

Words to live by, fer shure!! I go with the RED as my favorites too.....not just for the color, but for the straps and bows. Very girly....and also very high-fashioned uncomfy. I'm happier in my sneaks!

Very creative and I knew Lisa would be freaking out with all those shoes on your card. I believe the fancy red pair is my favorite, too. Guess I'm not a big shoe person..I just can't wear anything high anymore....but ask me about my comfortable Clarks or Merrells....I pretty much live in those

Susan, this card is amazing.....I'm sure Lisa had a great time looking at those shoes. I'm with Brenda....but they are lovely to look at on some one else. Love everything about this card. Fav'd
