Audrie has chose an inspiration site this week (IC532) that has some fabulous color palettes to choose from and this time I chose #68. I only used 3 of the colors and my peach is a bit darker. I used a technique that Jennifer McGuire demonstrated on her blog earlier this week, but mine did not turn out like hers, so I ended up fussy cutting out the flowers. I do like how they turned out, it just didn't work out with the original bg. The flowers were first heat embossed, then sponged with distress ink, and then water was applied with a paintbrush, causing the ink to lighten, and some new distress colors added. The love die cut is from some cs that I had "smooshed" with similar colors. Main panel and flowers are popped up for dimension - I think the rest is pretty clear.

Since I didn't see the tutorial you referenced, I'm going to go with my feeling that your's may be just as stunning as what your liked on the blog. The colors are beautiful. Thanks for the WC tip, too. Love your card and design. So very striking.
