Hi, sweet friends! Big News - I got to take the Copic classes with Debbie Olson this last weekend - a Christmas gift from my DH! It was a real stretch for me health-wise with the rigorous schedule, but he was so wonderful with making me meals and just being there with me. He knew I've always wanted to take the classes AND to meet Debbie Olson. She is so sweet and is a gifted teacher with an amazing art education and background in graphic design. After the classes, I felt more comfortable using the X-Press It Blending Card and used it for this newest digital remixed image by Power Poppy. The paper is wonderful for blending colors, and the alcohol ink stays wet longer on it. I decided to use a new die from Frantic Stamper and adhere the white outer "frame" portion onto some of PTI's Soft Stone. It still needed something more, so I freehand pierced around the focal image.

I sort of felt like I needed Susie with me last night as I was trying to glue together two layers of the outer frame using some Glue n' Seal. My hands were covered with glue, and then I couldn't get them off the plastic sheet (some of the frame was stuck on the plastic - yuck!). So after cleaning that mess up, my DH suggested using 3M adhesive spray. We went out to the garage, and he gave me rubber gloves to wear as I held the frame over a piece of cardboard and I turned my head and held my breath. Then I had to quickly walk over to where the card stock was to "flip" the frame over onto the paper being careful not to miss it. (He said that once it's down, it's stuck.) Then I had to take off the gloves inside out and use them to press it all down. And that is just a little of what Susie deals with for each card. Wow, sis, you are my hero, and I am in awe of your artistry!! (As Nancy Stizlow can attest to, I'm not used to messy stamping techniques!)

Anyway, thanks for taking a closer look, and I hope you have a great weekend! Stop by my blog for more details. Hugs!

Wonderful card. Such beautiful colouring and a lovely matching frame. Your colouring classes paid off. I can see so much light and shade on your delightful bouquet of spring flowers. I agree with you - we could all do with lessons from Susie.

Fabulous, Cheryl! I just don't know how your coloring can get any better. But, how sweet of hubby to give you this wonderful gift of classes. Love how you framed your image. You get to go to the top of the class with this one. Have a great weekend.

STUNNING card Cheryl!! Your coloring is fabulous! I've taken a class with Debbie, too and had fun..isn't she nice and down to earth? I had to chuckle reading your spray adhesive adventure...funny..I don't know if I like getting messy but it seems I do much of the time (when stamping)..Thanks for sharing this beauty!

How incredibly beautiful this is, Ms. Cheryl. I've always admired your copic skills so I'm surprised you attended a class. What a sweet man to gift his wife with copic classes. Everything you touch turns to gold, as I've said before. Your coloring, frame and paper piecing are exquisite. You are remarkably talented. Hugs and prayers.

OMG Cheryl, your Copics colored image and Creative design is absolutely Stunning!!! And you had a unforgettable story to share too You obviously got an A+ on your class!
Do you have the SU new Fine Tip Glue Pen? I use it for all my dies, ribbon, sequins, etc. You can add a tiny bit of the clear glue or more. Easy to control and it does not dry immediately, so you have time to do all your gluing and carefully place your image or whatever. Holds very well too.

TFS your beauty sweet friend. I can't wait to see more samples.

Your DH is Awesome...Just like mine Hugs, Nancy

Cheryl, I could look at this all day....it's perfect. You have captured the perfect lighting on the bouquet. Enjoyed reading your deets. You sure have a sweet man, and the copic class sounds like it was very enjoyable. Your framing even makes it more outstanding. Pinned and faved. Thanks so much for sharing your talent.
