Well, once again, I've been MIA, and last week was a tough one. I started a new medication that really threw me (but I've stopped it for now). So we all push on, right? This weekend I managed to color up the newest Instant Garden digi that is available today, and I even got to use some designer paper (yes, we often don't use much anymore, do we?). But it seemed to fit this image that was inspired by folk art and crewel embroidery. So I used the DP as my color palette and started to color. The hardest part was measuring up all the pieces and the matting, and it ended up being an odd card size. But I will make a special envelope for this one. It does remind me of some of my mom's cross-stitch work and a couple of things I embroidered years ago. I think she would have liked it.
Thanks for taking a closer look, and I hope you have a great week! Stop by my blog for more details. Hugs!

Oh Sissy, if this were a quilt I'd cuddle right up in it! Praying you are better, and sending squishies. Gorgeous coloring.

Wow, Cheryl, you and I have the same "wonderful mom memmories". With 5 kids and numerous pets, my mom still had time for crafts...your gorgeous creation reminds me of a wonderful stitched piece that hung in our family room. Not only is your coloring the usual "leave me speechless amazing" work of art, but your choice of dp and matting is fabulous. I am so sorry that you are having so much pain...I know that words can not ease your pain, but your sweet face frequently pops into ,my head and I send little prayers your way.

Monet's quote is SO true if you have ever been to his home and gardens in Giverny. Lovely card with your floral display that has a charming folk art feeling to it, Cheryl.
