I love making cards because I can personalize them to fit the person's interests. This is a birthday card for my uncle who only watches old, old movies on TV. I created the film strips from clip art film frame and sketches of old movies I found online. I put those together in Powerpoint so I could shrink up to width/height I wanted. I colored those in grays/browns copics. I stamped the Happy Birthday on piece of acetate - using StazOn, popped up with foam tape. I cut circle of black paper, covered in black stickles and sandwiched into the film canisters, with foam dot in between so canister has real dimension. Cut the movie camera 3 times, glued together for dimension, covered it in black Stickles. Added some stars from glitter paper to add some color besides black/white/gray.
Looking at this now, I wish i had one of the film strips going underneath the clear Happy Birthday frame. Next time!
