Today Linda gave us a wonderful challenge to depict our "little corner of the world" on our card. I submitted another card showing the Winter wonderland we find ourselves in today. This card depicts Lake Michigan ~ my very favorite place to be. We are so fortunate to live in Southwest Michigan and are not more than an hour away from numerous towns on the coast of Lake Michigan. My very favorite beaches are in South Haven, so here I am (or maybe it's our granddaughter!) with our dog, Bella, looking out on the peaceful water - TFL

Beautiful soft colouring to evoke a sunny summer day in the cold of winter. I find it hard to imagine how big the American lakes must be - maybe some time I'll get to see for myself.

I've just driven my 'google-earth' car along the sea front and it's a fabulous beach! You certainly captured the joy of playing on the beach. I adore this image, so touching.

Claudia, what a pretty card. I just love your sweet beach scene and the gorgeous colors. Nice to hear you're from Michigan too. We are very fortunate to have the Great Lakes in our state!

I feel like I could walk in to this stunning picture and feel the breeze. Since moving to Chicagoland area, I have not been to the beach...I should go...ok maybe when it is warmer. So beautifully done on your great summer card.

Beautiful card, and a lovely scene on a cold day like today. Aside from a quick visit to Chicago, I've never seen the Great Lakes, but I do hear Michigan lakes/summers are lovely.

Claudia, this scene is lovely! What a fabulous place to be - near the water. The serene feeling I get watching from the shore is the best!! Your card is wonderful!

We're not too far from Lake Michigan and enjoy at least one or two Dunes days each summer. Your coloring is lovely and the quote goes so well with the image; love the swirly embossed bg too!
