This week's Ways to Use it challenge is to create a card illustrating some aspect of "our little corner of the world." I struggled for a few minutes, and then it hit me out of the blue -- "moonlight through the pines." Georgia, after all, has one of the best state songs around, [that would be Georgia On My Mind] and we do have lots of trees, although here in the suburbs more and more trees are cut every year for new development.
To make the card, I die cut a small circle, sponged around it, and stamped the pines. It sounds so easy, but I made mistakes twice, so this image is the third try.

Oh, CAS cards can sometimes be the hardest because they are so unforgiving, but it was worth the three times. This is beautiful, Sandy, and a great take on the challenge. It makes me think of camping holidays in France - I can almost smell the pines. The sponged sky looks just wonderful.

Super stunning moon light through your trees. It has been many years since I have been to Georgia and I was only there for a couple of days and did not get a chance to do any sight seeing while there....maybe again some day.

Oh boy, can I ever relate to the mistakes when making sponged backgrounds - the winter card I entered in this challenge was my third try as well, grrr.
Now, onto your beautiful card: That is just a stunning sponged background sky and the look of the pine branches in front of the full moon is so striking. I LOVE your state song and I love this card, which is going straight into my faves! TFS

Sandy, I think you hit on the perfect way to depict your state. And even though it took 3 times the execution is wonderful, glad you stuck with it! It's a beautiful card, one anyone would be pleased to receive!

I agree with Sabrina that sometimes those CAS designs are the hardest to do..you did an amazing job on this. It's a real beauty as is your state...I feel like I can smell the GA pines right now. I've visited many times..a fabulous state! I can't stop looking at your card..the sponging is perfect!
