I first have to say that when I put a card in my favorites, it's usually a card I am never planning on making, but just admiring and maybe being inspired by. Most of the time when I click the Favorite button, I KNOW I could never make them. Nuff said.
I cased Jo's gorgeous card and changed a few things. I kept the same layout, but since my attempts at coloring always go over the lines, I used a dinner napkin from Thanksgiving for my image in the center. I used the Faux Silk technique and glued the napkin on the background layer.
Next I die cut an oval out of the green CS which is kind of sparkly (donated to my ladies card group - unknown) I wanted the leaf on the bottom of the napkin to hang over the edge, but it didn't, so I found another napkin, did the Faux Silk by gluing it on white cardstock and fussy cutting it out.
In my excitement, I forgot to "peel" the napkin and some of the white showed on the edges. I didn't have time to do it over, so I inked the edges of the leaf and popped it up. I love how it turned out. Thanks, Jo, for the inspiration. Your card is gorgeous!

Such Beautiful fall coloring on your Beautiful card!!! And the green CS is Perfect with it. I love that you added the extra leaf to hang over the edge! This is interesting because just last week I bought some beautiful napkins and your notation about "peeling" reminded me to do that and saved me some extra work. I haven't worked with napkins for many years and these napkins with some beautiful butterflies just caught my eye. YOUR card is Gorgeous!

I had to really have a good look at those leaves - because they look so life like. They have a lovely crumpled and aged look to them. I like the way you have created the background with the leaf tumbling down and out of the frame. So pretty.
