I am actually playing FS this week. I haven't done so in a long time. Congrats to Kimberly! I happened upon this card that gave me inspiration to figure out how to use this darn snowman globe image:
There's a lot more to this card than meets the eye and the photo left out a lot of the details, but it's a pain to get out my light box, so I had to wing it. I made the sparkly paper because it is thin enough to use a punch with. The thicker already made sparkly card stock is too thick and almost broke my punch. After I sparkled up a strip of paper, I used the MS grass punch upside down for icicles and I used the same paper to diecut the snowflakes.
I colored the image with copics (not very well because the image has small spaces and it is hard to get a blended and shaded effect). I shaded the hat and buttons using black and gray chalk pastels because all the pens, etc. made them too black with no shading. Sparkled up the snowman, snow and bottom of the globe. You can't see it, but I used some flocking on the framing behind the snowman; unfortunately, with all the fiddling I did, a lot got wiped off.
I originally used red Perlen-Pen for the center of the snowflake, but after photographing, etc., I noticed it had smeared. So mad as I didn't want to use a gem due to mailing. Anyway, to cover it up, I had to use a large gem. So, there you go. Gosh I'm chatty tonight.
Anyway, Kimberly, enjoy your special week and your gallery is full of lovely creations.
P.S. I named this Let It Snow - NOT because we had too much last year and I had to miss a lot of work and drive on icy streets, but I love snowmen and snowflakes, so there you go.

Oh, sweet Miss Pam, this is BEAUTIFUL, and what a fabulous card to CASE. Yes, congratulations, Kimberly, for being this week's Featured Stamper - I love your card.
Now, Miss Pam, I love your card, but you don't have to feel badly about this card one hoot!! Hehe! I love it, and it looks like a lot of work, and I'm so impressed at how you made the grass border into icicles and got them and the snowflake so sparkly. I love the snow globe and the sweet little snowman inside. Your coloring is great! And that snowflake and gem are fabulous together. We all know cards are always so much better IRL! I'm doing the Snoopy Dance seeing more cards from you, sweet girl! You delight me and us all! And you aren't too chatty - it was fun reading your description, and I giggled too. I love Susie Australia's descriptions and always get delight, so you just keep on doing what you are, sweet friend! And, we love South Florida because there is never any snow. I love the name!! Hugs, my sweet friend!

Your card is gorgeous, Pam! The colors, the beautiful icicles, the layout and the embellishments. You did a great job with some small areas to work with. And then the setting you put your card in is stunning! Faved!

You know I love this snowman globe, Pamzi. You are sooooo clever to make those icicles out of the grass punch. You had thinking cap on, right? So many good accessories and your sharp mind brought all this together to make an awesome card. Go Fruitcake!!! Fav'd another one.

LOVE those icicles! Would never have thought to use the grass punch! This is really cool, love all the sparkle. Have you seen the big round sequins? They could take the place of a larger gem.

Pam, this is beautiful! I don't know that I've ever been through your gallery before, either - luv your style! I just ordered a globe die this morning - can't wait for it to arrive - I feel so inspired by this card. Your grass die for icicles is genius - hope I can remember that for the future. Thanks for dropping a note in my gallery. Happy thanksgiving Day, Pam!

I'm so happy to see you, Pam! And I'm so happy you played in the FS! And I feel your pain...if I could stop fiddling long enough to let stuff dry, I probably wouldn't have to fix so many things. But I'm just a Dennis the Menace when it comes to watching stuff dry. I love your little snow globe!
