Wanted to have a photo to share on a SCS forum thread about these sled dies by Dies by Dave.
The dies have a lovely woodgrain embossed woodgrain texture. Here's a link to the website: http://diesbydave.storenvy.com
With my old, relatively "loose" Cuttlebug,I had to use an embossing pad on the die cuts with regular weight cardstock to get a nice impression. I decided to experiment with chipboard, to see if I could eliminate the step with embossing pad. Eureka, it worked! The dies cut flawlessly through the substantially thicker material and the woodgrain pattern showed up well.
Tip for removing the die cuts & leftover chads from the die - use a small strip of Washi tape to lift the paper pieces out. Works like a charm! I learned this technique in the Online Class - Watercolors for Card Makers. Awesome class, with amazing instructors!

Cute! That's cool that it worked on chipboard! That was a bold move. I would have been scared to break my machine. I have 3 broken ones under my belt. LOL
