The card base is Night of Navy card stock cut at 5 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4. Then I used the curvy corner trio punch to punch each corner.
Stamp the images on shimmery white paper (if I was to do this again I would use hot press Watercolor paper) But, the shimmery white paper did hold up well.
Color the images in using Prismacolor pencils or Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils. I used Prismacolor because this is what I have. But, If I was going to buy a set to do this technique with then I would buy the Polychromos. They are on my never ending wish list.
After coloring the image I used the Prismacolor colorless blender pencil to make sure the area had a good coat of wax. If you have Prismacolor pencils this blender pencil is a must to move color around better.
Now it is time to watercolor. I used two different watercolors, Daniel Smith and Terry Harrison. I love the Shadow and Country Olive by Terry Harrison. While I was watercoloring and after I finished. I wiped the area I had used colored pencils . The watercolor just wipes right off. This is because the wax based color pencil makes a resist.
After the watercolor has dried use the curvy corner trio punch to punch each corner. I also used the big shot and a few shims to flatten the paper back out.
I used Stampin' Dimensionals to add a little depth to the card.
Just a little note about Daniel Smith and Terry Harrison. Daniel Smith is a amazing USA Based company that makes their very own high quality watercolors. They are defiantly worth checking out. And I discovered Terry Harrison several years back when I wanted to teach myself to watercolor. I found one of his tutorials in a watercolor how to book. And looked him up on the internet. He is a amazing watercolorest and fabulous teacher. He has a wonderful line of watercolors and brushes that are available at Terry Harrison Art.
