I am your hostess today, and IÂ’ve challenged you (and challenged myself, as it turned out!) with the rich jewel-tones of Elegant Eggplant, Calypso Coral, Old Olive and Bermuda Bay. The dessert option is to use pearls or rhinestones on your card.
Wow, these colors looked so great as swatches together, but I had a hard time putting them together in a card. Oh, well, win some, lose some, right?
I used the PTI set, Embellished Elegance, and cut out the big “happy” with my Silhouette Portrait. I stamped the flowers with the challenge colors, and placed them on a white panel. Then I embossed a diagonal striped panel and a lacy border, and put them all together.
Just when I thought I was done, I remembered the dessert, so I have a cute little flower at the top with a pearl center. This card is going to my dearest friend (since college in 1959!) for their 53rd anniversary.
Thanks for stopping by! Please play along with us this week!

this is such a pretty and delicate image Barbara and it looks great with all the challenge colors. I like the touch of faux lace-your friend will love this card- you are doing such a great job with the Silhouette as well-love the font on your "happy" word
