I want to start by saying that I LIKE playing around with assemblage art. It's even better that I can call it something that sounds so professional when, in reality, it's getting my groove on with E6000 and a whole bunch of shiny, sparkly things!!!
I began with a brass finding and glued an old, vintage rhinestone pin on top. Then, I took 4 brass jewelry links and put them together with swarovski beads and glass pearls for the 'chain'. I desperately wanted to do more with this. But my mother suggested I work on the whole 'less is more' thing and I figured it was worth a try.
Well, that and my ADHD meds were at their limits and I was ready to be off on another project.
I triple wire wrapped the bead segments (and that had me delving into my bag of obscenities) and I can say that it ended up looking pretty good for a first try.
At least, that's what I'm going with here. ;)
