 | | In the past I have made Star Albums and Accordion Albums as a way of showcasing the entire set of PB Twelve Days of Christmas stamps. My brother is next on the list to receive a card made with the set - and with memories of a lovely wooden Jacob's Ladder he made when he was studying industrial design, I opted to make a Jacob's Ladder for him. I added two extra coasters, so that I could have a cover as well as the twelve stamped images.
All the papers are LOTV Simple Joys.
I wanted alternate red and green, and did figure out how to get it when I was on my second time round of assembling the ladder (first time, I had used a different glue to adhere the paper to the coasters, and it had cockled a bit) - but by then I had stuck half the images to their matting, and since I could cut them off the discarded album, I didn't want to start over again more than I had to.
Sentiment on front has 3 layers of UTEE. I added a little binding loop with a brad, so that it can be hung with either side on show. The back is a Sizzix partridge - or supposed to be!
