This is still just a card front, made for Anne's TLC549 Front Fold-Up Card challenge. Hopefully after a night spent under a couple of dictionaries, my "letter" will stay securely stuck to the glittery base and I can address it, before sticking it to a card base and mailing it off. It's taken all afternoon, so I sure hope it works. I forgot how hard it is to stick stuff to glitter :-(.
I also didn't look closely enough at the way Anne folded her front, so I had to fudge that slightly.
Base - stencilled with the circles and modelling paste, gold glitter sprinkled over while the paste was still wet, with most of it concentrated in the top corner with the smallest circles. When it was dry, I used different shades of blue Brusho, and spritzed it with water, then edged it with a black pen.
My letter was made a little wider and deeper than Anne's measurements, to accommodate the "thanks" die-cut. I coloured each panel with pencils in a gradient, and then just doodled along the fold-lines to make them look a little neater.
My bird is coloured with pencils, and when you unfold the "letter, he just folds down behind it, sort of. This was such fun to make - but I'll try something much less ambitious which I will be sure will work!

What a fun glittery card with the crazy bird. I just love this new set. The bg is fabulous, and I'm sure you'll find a way to get the letter to stick. Thanks for joining in, my friend!

I absolutely love this sweet little birdie and those glorious colours. You certainly got the best results from the blue Brusho. What a fabulous creation.

I am playing catch up in the gallery, whew....so glad I didn't miss this my friend. I have sat here for a good five minutes studying the amazing background. Thanks for the detailed description, not that I could reproduce anything like this. Your bird looks fabulous and I love that the fold down bit starts out as an envelope and turns into a great message. Pinned and faved.
