This was super simple to do. I don't know what made me buy these crazy birds. I don't really need anymore birds. Then I bought the dies. Sizzix or Tim or both did a great job on the dies. They line up with the stamped image perfectly and easily. I 3D-ed the wing, eyes, and beak. I brayered the paper the bird is cut from. Originally I thought it would be my background. It's a combo of shabby shutters and pistachio. It was pretty dull. So I used red and orange and got that "feathered" blending of the two colors. That's what I like about a brayer. I just bought some more pan pastels and I want to play with those, too. My first love, though, is a brayer or a sponge or a stipple brush and nice rich, saturated ink.

Love this Sassy card!!! Your bg is SO wonderfully Rich and really Outstanding. Aren't those birds just the greatest? Every time I see some...especially the ones with "attitude" like yours...my resistance keeps getting chipped away at. Guess I'll just have to give in and have some come and live in my house. Great job!

I love your card. Great job on the brayering, I can't get the hang of it myself. As for the birds the more cards I see done with them the more I'm temped to get them.
