When DH saw this he said "that must have been hard to photograph". Indeed it was - so you can just believe me that, since it's embossed, the sentiment (There's nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it's going to be a butterfly) is easier to read in real life.
To go with the idea behind the sentiment, I wanted to create a dark background and a vivid butterfly. So, I embossed the butterfly with clear EP on watercolour paper, wet it lightly with a brush and then sprinkled some Brushos over. When it was dry, I masked it off and sponged in dark colours for the background, and then stamped the foliage in Versafine Smokey Grey. I added the sentiment and embossed it with clear EP. The whole panel is popped up on foam onto a base which I had edged with gilding flakes.

What a beautiful bg collage, Sabrina, and such a gorgeous butterfly in the foreground. Both dark and light are beauties in and of themselves with neither detracting from the other. So much to tantalize the eyes here

Very cool Sabrina!!! So artistic and creative. I can see the sentiment and think it's a good one. I also like how your bg is dark and the butterfly is light which symbolizes the hope and joy. Great job!!
