When DH saw this he said "that must have been hard to photograph". Indeed it was - so you can just believe me that, since it's embossed, the sentiment (There's nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it's going to be a butterfly) is easier to read in real life.
To go with the idea behind the sentiment, I wanted to create a dark background and a vivid butterfly. So, I embossed the butterfly with clear EP on watercolour paper, wet it lightly with a brush and then sprinkled some Brushos over. When it was dry, I masked it off and sponged in dark colours for the background, and then stamped the foliage in Versafine Smokey Grey. I added the sentiment and embossed it with clear EP. The whole panel is popped up on foam onto a base which I had edged with gilding flakes.

Wow! I love your subtle colors in the background and your brighter rainbow in the butterfly!

Sabrina you really brought this butterfly to a whole new level. The colors in it are outstanding and your edge is out of this world super. I love everything about this card and the butterfly is just one of my favorites.

Sabrina,
I think even butterflies would be jealous of the colors you used on your butterfly! So pretty and delicate butterfly with a simply gorgeous bg!
