I wasn't planning to join this challenge, because I never seem satisfied with my results using paints on stencils (or EFs). But, DH has gone fishing, so boredom drove me to give it a whirl and surprise - I like the results. The stencil is Tim Holtz Doily, which I never used successfully before. Dies: SB/Pierced Rectangles - MB/Madera Corner - SS/Small Hello. The flowers are punched with a tiny Michaels punch, then snipped toward the center between each petal, shaped with a stylus and a tiny pearl placed in the center.

Ah, you see, this is what I felt when I first tried this technique with my Art Deco Leaves stencil! Every other time I'd used it, I'd ended up using the piece for punching or die-cutting. I'm glad it worked so well for you today and that your boredom was alleviated in such a fruitful fashion . Like several of the cards today this is so light and summery feeling - just when our temps are plummeting to back below freezing. I hope Spring is finally on the way for you!

Oh, I'm so glad DH went fishing! This is amazing. I own this stencil, now I have a project for it. I can only hope it turns out half as beautiful as this!

Oh, Priscilla, this is gorgeous! First, I love the colors, and second - wow - you've used this stencil beautifully! I think I have this and used it when Nancy was visiting and we were using the Gelli plate. It's lovely. And I really love the corner die and pretty word die. Stunning, sweet friend! Hugs!

Oh my, how gorgeous this is!! I'm glad you gave it a try. You should be very pleased with your results. I never seem to be happy with the results of using stencils. Maybe I don't have the right ones, or just need more practice. :>)

This is incredibly pretty. Love all those soft shades you have used to create your background. Your little spray of flowers is just perfect too. So very, very pretty.
