For the fire part of this mix challenge I took a brown paper bag and burned the edges. I burned the edges of my sheet music as well. I added quilled roses and floral filler, and two types of lace I attached a raffia bow with a pearl stick pin. I did cracked glass on the little butterfly. I took a plastic container that once held cookies and I stamped the word "LOVE". I punched the plastic with a circle punch. I then punched a little circle at the top. I heated it with my heat gun and just like the old craft of shrinky dinks, it shrank down and the plastic thickened. I attached it to cracked glass with gold thread and pearls. I sprayed the whole card with gold shimmer paint. The recycle part was the brown bag and the plastic container as well as the sheet music. The music was in with some books that my hubby bought at an auction. I just recycled it into a different type of art.

Wow, a MariLynn masterpiece! Where to start? The roses are incredible....this is so shabby chic and romantic. Surely vintage at its best! The pop of blue with your butterfly was just the right touch.

MariLynn, this is beautiful! I knew it was yours even before I scrolled down to see your name . You have a wonderfully pretty vintage look going here. Love the music (of course) and the way the flowers and butterfly add such a beautiful pop of colour.
