Another one of my mad dash, late to work mornings due to making a card..... will be back at lunch break to comment.
This house stamp is a long silhouette stamp. I didn't want the houses to be "heavy" so I didn't ink it up with a lot of ink. I used a baby wipe to remove ink from the bottom third of the stamp each time I stamped the houses. I randomly stamped trees around the houses. I pressed the various inks onto my craft mat and used brushes and water to watercolor in most of the white spaces. I did a wash of water acrosds the sky and added a watercolor wash. Then I lightly sponged black distress ink around the cloud stencil. TFL, Francie

Awesome card!!! Love those houses and all the dots, plaids, and checks. Super watercolor wash technique.

Into my favourites. There must be something about those houses and your trees, this one too reminds me of Paris. Though I'm sure I've never seen smoky chimneys like that there, and it's many years, indeed, since the use of smokeless fuel was enforced here in the city. The amazing sky, and the colour tones in the foreground too, remind me somewhat of Lowry paintings.

Holy Smokes this is wonderful! You have created such an intense atmosphere you can practically hear and smell this scene. I love that sky and the light in the windows. Marvellous!

Oh my gosh, Francie, you are on a roll with your city scenes! I have one stamped - Now I feel like I HAVE to go do something with it, and hope it turns out 1/10th as well as yours! That sky is amazing, and I love the separation between the streets all filled with trees. Just AWESOME!
