Hi, sweet friends, and happy Friday! I've been waiting to color this sweet little camellia in a dish. A dear friend often gives my husband some flowers like this one to bring home when DH has helped with his computer. And I have a little dish much like this one that I place the flower in. This image so reminds me of his lovely wife, Mary, who loves flowers and especially pink - and I'm sure this card will be for her. Thanks, Janette, for a great sketch this week - such a nice one! I rotated the sketch 90 degrees. Had fun with this card and even added some paper-piercing and sanded the edges of the scalloped die. Otherwise, I kept it simple and easy to mail.
Thanks for taking a closer look, and I hope you like it. Enjoy the weekend - and remember to take time to smell the flowers! Hugs!

Wow! Just send those challenge police to me if they come around and I'll have a talk with them! :-) This is perfection! Your colouring is fantastic and the DP's and piercing the perfect complement. A splendid image and a nice story behind it. Thanks for sharing it!

This is so dainty and delicate. My order of these are somewhere over the Pacific Ocean at the moment and I can't wait for them to arrive. I love camellias and have so many of them planted in the garden and when they are in flower (September) I always bring them inside and float them in a bowl. Love them. You have coloured this so nicely and I love that soft aqua colour and the matching little butterfly paper as well. Just love your cards.

This is such a sweet card, Cheryl, and it brings back happy memories. When I was growing up our kitchen table sat right next to a big window that looked out onto 3 beautiful camilia bushes that always seemed to be covered in blooms.... they looked like cotton candy. I love how you colored the little glass bowl, snd the perfect white highlights on the flower. The dp bg is perfect.
