This is my card for the teapot party this week. It's tickle week, and Sue gave us a lovely challenge to provide inspiration for the cards we are making for each other.
The claddagh image symbolizes loyalty, love and friendship, and I thought it was perfect for this week. It was downloaded and printed on white cs twice. It didn't print very clearly, so I added some detail with Prismacolor pencils. To give the crown and golden ring a bit of sheen, I colored over them with a Prismacolor blender pencil and burnished with a q-tip.
I cut the image with SB stitched circles dies, and hand stitched the piercing using gold metallic embroidery floss. I fussy cut the shamrocks from the second image and attached them with rolled Sookwang tape for dimension and Multi Medium where dimension wasn't needed. I added Glossy Accents to the crown and heart.
The focal image was backed with a piece of Stick It adhesive and matted with a mirror gold die cut. I added shimmer to the shamrocks (you could make a song out of that to the tune of Tiptoe Through The Tulips!) using clear Wink of Stella.
I'm really pleased with how this came out; I hope my tickle partner likes it as well!
As always, thanks for looking!
ETA: I'm so sorry for all the misunderstanding about coloring this image. It was downloaded as a pre-colored digi - I just used my pencils to enhance the image. I realize it wasn't clear in my description above from all the comments about my wonderful coloring, LOL! I wish!

Oh, I would love to get this one - everything the claddaugh symbolizes is epitomized here on SCS in the teapotters group especially!! Love your hand stitching on the circle and the coloring on the shamrocks, crown and heart - clearly this is a work of your heart and I really LOVE how it looks with the fussy cut shamrocks popped up!! What a blessing to the lucky gal that receives this!!

This is so lovely Jody. This would be the perfect Teapotter card to sit on a craft desk and be reminded of this wonderful group and the friendships formed through SCS.

Beautiful, Jo! I love the idea of printing twice and adding dimension to it! And wow, those stitches on the dies are tiny! What itty bitty stitches you did and how time consuming that must have been. I do love how you added the gold and shine with the blender and Q tip! Tiny Tim is now echoing in my head!

Beautiful Claddagh design! The glossy accent on the crown and heart make them appear dimension, like real stones and the fussy cut shamrocks are super.

Now that's a great choice of image, Jody! I remember my BIL trawling the shops to find a nice Claddagh ring to take back to his wife in Australia. A lot of people here have them as wedding rings too - well, maybe not a lot, but certainly some. What a perfect card for the Tickle.
