This is for Anna's MIX112
First Day of Spring challenge. Thinking about Spring colours - I always think of yellow from daffodils, blue from scilla and bluebells and wood anemones, and pinks, white and cream from things like cherry blossom and magnolia.
Thinking about the mixed media side of things, I decided to try the Ink Spray, Smash tutorial again. I tried it first during HYCCT last year, and wondered at the time if it would work with photo paper.
The jury is out on that - the colours are more bright and defined, but over an hour later the paper is still tacyk, and being photo paper I can't heat emboss it or anything like that. If it does dry, I have two very usable pieces of card! If it doesn't, I've learnt a lesson .
So, I had to pull out my hoarded supply of proper glossy card, on which I used Spun Sugar, Bundled Sage and Tumbled Glass re-inkers.
Stamped and embossed Spring, embossed the panel with Swiss Dots and then spattered white acrylic paint over it.
Image panel - stamped the two Purple Onion stamps in Versafine Smokey Grey for a softer look, and coloured with pencils. I used the same three colours of distress inks that I had used for the background to stamp Gorgeous Grunge round the edges after cutting with Mega Ovals. Stickles round the edge, and round the edges of the label "tabs".

So pretty, Sabrina! Love all the pastel color in your bg and that little bird is so sweet. Photo paper is a different animal. All mediums seem to react differently to it.
