Good morning, sweet friends! It's starting to warm up a little around the country, so spring is coming - and so are the flowers! And one of my favorite flowers is the daffodil! It's the newest Power Poppy digital image called Dancing with Daffodils. But this is NOT the entire image. I used GIMP and Microsoft Word to "digitally mask" just the daffodils, and there is more information on my blog how I did that. And the links for the rest of the Instant Gardeners are there, and wow, did they ever make some beautiful cards. I really enjoyed coloring these daffodils and used a decorative die popped over blue (I just love blue and yellow together).
Thanks for taking a closer look, and I hope you like it! Visit my blog for some hints about using digital images.
Big hugs and stay warm, everyone! Spring is on the way!

WOW on your coloring, Cheryl! The soft shadow looks fabulous combined with the blue you used in your frame! I saw the stamp and what an incredible job you did, selecting only the daffodils! Your card is just beautiful!

So good to see your wonderful card in the gallery. This is a beautiful image and you have coloured the daffodils in so nicely. The image is so nicely framed with that lovely die cut frame and all finished off with that perfect sentiment. I love this card.

After seeing and commenting on this card on your blog, I had to come over and see it here. The image from Power Poppy is beautiful and you've really used your tech skills to showcase just the daffodils and make it beautiful in your own way. Everyone that sees this will need to also check out the image on Power Poppy...they'll be surprised, won't they? I love the die you used, also. It's just a fabulous creation.

OMG Cheryl, this is breathtaking! I love blue and white and now you've made me fall in love with blue and yellow. Your digi flowers are incredible and how you did them, I'm too afraid to know; although, I did check out your blog to get the scoop. I hope to be that high tech one day. Thanks for the comments on my cards. I've been in and out of SCS's, but am trying to visit as I can.

I am always amazed by how beautiful your cards are. The daffodils look so real... my yard is very confused this year and my dafodil bulbs are in full bloom. If they were people, they would be jealous because your flowers are prettier. Since the most I can do on a computer is turn it on and off, I am always so impressed by your technical ability. Your card is just lovely, Cheryl.

Cheryl, the beauty of this card absolutely took my breath away!!! The blue base is such a lovely grounding color for the daffodils, and the white die-cuts, are the perfect lacy frame! I am one huge fan of Power Poppy stamps, have some and bought a couple of digital stamps but haven't used them yet--need to try them out.
This is STUNNING! Such realistic coloring!!! This is the level I aspire to be able to color--someday!!! I admire your artistry so much!!!
