Today Sabrina hosted the WTUI challenge & asked that we make cards that use something from the kitchen. If you know me, you know that I stay away from the kitchen!! DH does the cooking.... and the grocery shopping! I do get into the freezer for ice cream though! This set from PTI makes such fun get well cards. The inside has a bowl & says 'just what the Dr. ordered'! I started out with faux stitching & switched it to read stitching. It looks better.
Thanks Sabrina for a fun challenge.
Thanks for stopping by.

You know I love stitched borders and this one is fantastic! You are SO right too. That image is fun and love the idea of a get well card with it! Terrific card, Karen!

LOL, I don't spend a lot of time in the kitchen either, but your foray for ice cream made an adorable card! With hand stitching, no less! I'm very impressed - that's something I haven't even attempted!

How cute, Karen! Love that old-fashioned ice cream slogan and the "chocolaty" colors you chose for your card. The polka dot bg and stitching all add a bit of "homemade" charm. Nothing like home-made ice cream! : )

Your stitching really draws the eye to the main attraction, Karen! Love the little spoon to eat straight out of the ice cream container! Cute card~
I curled the ends of the twine with my bone folder. It does a nice job, eh? And it doesn't fray the ends~

This is fabulous, Karen, and I love your border of stitching!! Since DH retired 3 years ago we seem to have swapped roles as he now does majority of the cooking (except when our boys come for dinner!) and grocery shopping, too!!
