Sometimes some things just work out when making a card, but this time EVERYTHING worked out! Before seeing any challenges, I was coloring this image for a card for my dh. Not only is valentines day this month, but so is his B- day. His hobby is gardening and he loves to grow flowers. While he watched THAT FOOTBALL THING, I sat at the kitchen table doing my favorite thing, coloring. The inside of the card says
"Love "blooms" whenever you are near". My husband loves orange and lavender, so I included those colors. I was able to smile, nod my head, and make somewhat coherent responses to his yells over the super bowl game. When I saw Angie's CAS310 to make a card full of love, this was perfect. After carefully coloring this pretty adult coloring page, I wasn't sure what to do with it. Then I saw Joan's TLC519. OMG... the hardest thing I have done lately was to cut my painstakenly colored image in half. When it actually worked out, I let out a "wwhooop" and did a happy dance to rival any end zone celebration. My husband thought I was excited about the wild end to the super bowl. So, I am off to work feeling happy that everything worked out on this card. TFL, Francie

What a beautiful floral panel! I'm glad you had such a great opportunity to colour it while your husband was otherwise occupied . And while I can imagine the momentary panic while you cut it - it does indeed work wonderfully for Joan's challenge.
Francie, this is stunning!!! I am so glad you were brave and cut apart your gorgeous coloring page! What a stunning look! Fab combining of challenges. Your husband is sure to love this.

Gorgeous! Cutting things is so scary, but what a great result!

WOW, your card is GORGEOUS Francie!! I love the beautiful floral garden. It's so neat the way this is in two pretty pieces and you have the bg layer showing through. I think your hubby will absolutely love this card and it will get him thinking about gardening in real life.

Oh, Francie! This is gorgeous! Your DH will love it! I can just imagine trying to cut into it...I have trouble cutting up or roughing up the edges of designer paper. I mean, why cut up a perfectly good piece of paper? That's probably why I have so much unused dp around here.
