This card is for Lloyd in NJ, who loves tractors and growing things, as well as hayrides! He recently lost his wife of 65 years so the teapotters are bringing him reminders of all his great memories and passion for all things farm related. See his story HERE
I did not have a tractor OR a wagon for a hayride, so off to google an image that I could hand copy and color for this teaparty! My background is from SNSS (one of 10 landscapes), I then colored in the field and sponged the sky, then proceeded to color my farmer, and his tractor/hay wagon with my copics. The farmer and sentiment were sent to me by a dear friend (just in time, I might add) Popped up the farmer on dimensionals, after adding some "hay" in the field. Added crystal effects to his glasses and hoe, and also to the tractor and wagon (after all, Lloyd loves him a shiny red tractor) Added a scripture on the inside with my note - sure hope he likes this!
Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!!

This is so fun! Great job designing this awesome scene, and very clever to use raffia for the hay. Beautiful coloring, too!

Love that farmer Sue! You colored him beautifully and love the idea of raffia for straw! You are sending him smiles and inspiration all wrapped into one, fantastic card!

I got my SNSS HYCCT prize this week and so nearly got that set! It makes the perfect background for your farmer, and I love the raffia (that's what I used on my pop-up chicken coop too!). I bet Lloyd will love this, and I think it's cool that the AI guy is probably not a whole lot younger than Lloyd.

Wow Greenie this is fabulous. What a perfect scene for Lloyd. Your hand drawn tractor is brilliant my friend. The "straw" finished this terrific card off perfectly.

Love this farmer and the sentiment that goes with! You did an AMAZING job of coloring everything (not my strong point) and your clouds in the background ROCK! I love the landscape of house, silo's and trees in silhouette, genius idea! This card will surley bring a smile to the receiver as well as feelings of nostalgia for his "farm" days. Wonderfully crafted!
