This weeks Teaparty is down on the farm...bringing tractors and words of encouragement to Lloyd. To see the details visit the MMTPT; MMTPT337 ~January 13, 2015~ Tonight's Success Factor Depends on a Tractor by momof5sons at Splitcoaststampers
Lloyd is my Uncle. My mom's only sister died last fall from her third bout of cancer and Uncle Lloyd is lost without her. They were married for 65 years. Their first date was on a hayride and she asked him! Uncle Lloyd has over two dozen nieces and nephews and each of us felt loved and special when we were with him. Until his bout with chemotherapy he donated blood every 60 days - for decades. He volunteers as a transporter in the ER in our community hospital, outrunning the young men and women 1/4 of his age. He canes chairs and does woodworking, but his favorite activity is tending his garden. At 85 years young, he truly does inspire me.
Broke out the vintage tractor stamp and colored with Copics. Stamped and cut the sentiment with a Nestie that reminded me of a vintage canning label, then sponged both with Peanut Brittle. Mounted to a Night of Navy panel and that to a Neenah card and done. So sorry for the awful photo but am having significant camera issues.
Thank you all for looking and have a peaceful day.

Wow, Marie! Your Uncle Lloyd is definitely an inspiration. How blessed you are to be in each others lives. I am sure he will love this terrific card, reminding him of the hayride and your dear departed Aunt, as well as, his love of gardening.

Such a lovely card. I am so sorry to hear of your aunt's passing. I hope the cards we are sending will let him know lots of us are thinking about him and remind him of that great hayride. Hugs!

Thank you for sharing your Uncle Lloyds story with us. What an amazing man! I hope this Teaparty brings some smiles. I love your card Marie, fabulous colouring and a perfect layout. You gave me heaps of cookies, I think we should share them. Namaste.

Such a great card...it's perfect for your uncle. I'm so impressed with how active he is..hey caneing chairs is a lost art, and he's a volunteer...I swear volunteering keeps a person young...I hope we can add some sunshine to his mailbox. Thanks for telling us about him.

Your uncle sounds like a Man among men! What a beautiful tribute, it is an honor to send him a little cheer. I love the image you have used! I mentioned on Polly's card, I wish I had used a windmill too! Your sentiment is fantastic and sure to please your dear uncle! Give him a hug from me and thank you for sharing him with all of us!!!

What a wonderful man, husband, Neighbor, Uncle, and pillar of his community uncle Lloyd was - an inspiration to ALL of us, not just your family!!! Sounds like he runs circles around most of us!
Love your vintage tractor scene - you can tell how much he is loved, just looking at the words you chose for your card!!
