Lydia's final HYCCT challenge was to make a card inspired by our favorite childhood book. I am telling my age by going back a ways, although Cinderella lives forever. "Cinderella loses her left slipper as she races down the palace steps at midnight. The Prince's real name is Charming-he's Prince Charming. When Cinderella dances- and falls in love-with Prince Charming, she doesn't even realize he's the Prince. She shows the Grand Duke the glass slipper that matches the one she left behind on the palace steps. Cinderella is soon reunited with the Prince, and they get married and live happily ever after." When I grew up it was the wish of most young girls to meet Prince Charming and live happily ever after. Not such a bad wish! Let us pray that all those individuals that we are creating these cards for, have their wishes come true.

OH! I love this and I love your description! Yesterday I was thinking on this very thing and how outdated I am because Cinderella was and still IS a favorite of mine. I love your pretty flower bg to go with Cinderella!

I'm right there with you with "age" and Cinderella. The Disney movie was one of the early ones that I saw as a child. Your card is done just like the movie version of Cinderella.

Janine, this is sooooo pretty! The colours are pretty, the image, and the way you added the enamel dots to the flowers. Cinderella brings back so many memories from childhood. We had a little record player and a set of Disney records, so it's the songs which stick with me as well as the beautiful images from the movies and books. Love this.
