This is the second card I made for Susie L's (paperpunchscissors) beautiful challenge - Some days there won't be a song in your heart. Sing anyway.
It was hard to photograph this as the back of the card is 1/2" wider than the front. I started by sticking washi tape inside the card, then cutting the same width from the front - does that make sense?
The beautiful tree/bird die is a creation by our very own Dina (Dini). I hope Dina doesn't mind that I pruned one of the branches so I could fit the sentiment in.
It is no secret how much I struggle with CAS, my style is more "Kitchen Sink" ....you know, throw everything at it but the kitchen sink...... still this card needed something, that's when I decided to ink up my favourite tree stamp and just stamp a small portion of it, followed by a partial doodled border.
Thank you for looking. To see all the HYCCT challenges to date, including this beautiful challenge, click here .

I smiled and even laughed softly when I read your words, Susie. This is a lovely CAS card in black and white (one of my favorites), and your encouraging sense of humor is enough to lift the spirits on the most difficult of days.
I love the piano key borders - beautiful addition to this card (as are the tree branches - she smiles).
Thank you again for not only one, but two cards for my challenge, Heart Song. You're a gem, Susie. What would we all do without you?
Oh Susie, this is lovely!!! I think you do CAS very well!!! I love how you added piano keys. I love the design with the front shorter than the back. You did a great job capturing this card in your photo. Beautiful and in my faves it went!

Susie, you ALWAYS make us smile, if not an outright chuckle - such joy being shared in this delightful, musically inclined concerto in B(ird) minor. Love the piano tape and your description of how you struggle with CAS - I think this is beautifully simple - ya done good, Sister!

Your black and white card is incredibly striking! I love the way you have tied your themes together. That washi tape is an amazing start but without the bird, the branches, the tree tops, and the sentiment where would it be? :-) Letting your interior show to the front is a lovely touch. Great card indeed!

Good golly! Very nice! I really like the font of the sentiment and your partial doodle border. Great design with the Washi piano keys tape border inside & out!
