This week's Queen for the Day is JaneenK. Congratulations to you, Janeen! I was trying to combine my QFTD card with the Free4All challenge of Good Sport, so I chose this card that Janeen made for DTGD. My card, which celebrates the sport of sailing, is very similar to Janeen's, but I did make a few changes.
* Different image
* Added a vellum layer
* Moved the 3 brads inside the oval (to hold down the vellum)
* Used an embossing folder on the kraft layer rather than a background stamp
I had made a card at an SU workshop where we rubbed a stylus on the back the vellum to highlight the sail and thought it looked so cool. So that's how the sail appears whiter than the rest of the vellum oval.

Sweet sailboat. Love the placement of the brads.

Thank you Lois for CASEING my card. I had to laugh at your "to hold down the vellum" yep, we do what we gotta do.
I love your version and that was also one of my favorites from DTGD. I appreciate you.

This is fabulous and a wonderful case. Sailing days are getting short here on Lake Erie (not that I sail!), but I do like to watch the boats go by. thanks the tip on the vellum!
