Couldn't wait to get home and play today. This card is going to my sister, Connie Jo9. She used to be a regular on the site but life has thrown her a few curves lately. So hopefully this card will help her find her happy place while she is facing some health problems.....details...
First off, I used trumpet vine leaves for my stencil. These hold a special memory for the both of us. Our grandparents had a big trumpet vine growing on the side of the house and it was beautiful.
Many years ago I planted a "few" plants and now our backyard is over ran with them. Little did I know how well they would grow especially when DH fertilizes "his"plants it benefits my trumpet vine. hehe. My DH curses it every time he prunes it. I just laugh and enjoy the beauty and memories. hehe
Using a gelli plate, the leaves and acrylic paint I made this panel. Coloring was done with the various paints I listed in the accessories.
Doodled around the image to pop it a little. Instead of a sentiment I thought the xoxo would let her know she is loved.
Put this on a turquoise card adding the black and white dots with a stylus and paints. Done.
Well another fine day in the art world. hehe TFL :0)
Hi Sis!.....This ones for you! xoxo

This is beautiful Cathy!!! I thought I recognized that leaf pattern, but it took your mentioning it to remind me. I have some trumpet vines, but they never flower. The hummers don't really appreciate the leaves as much as the flowers. I think it is so sweet and loving for you to create this for your sister. I'm sure she will love it. Beautifully painted!! :>)

Cathy, you have such an artistic talent and an artist's eye to boot. Those slender turq side bands REALLY make the complementary colors of your main panel all the more beautiful. The leafy frond is done exquisitely. A real beauty all around!
