Couldn't wait to get home and play today. This card is going to my sister, Connie Jo9. She used to be a regular on the site but life has thrown her a few curves lately. So hopefully this card will help her find her happy place while she is facing some health problems.....details...
First off, I used trumpet vine leaves for my stencil. These hold a special memory for the both of us. Our grandparents had a big trumpet vine growing on the side of the house and it was beautiful.
Many years ago I planted a "few" plants and now our backyard is over ran with them. Little did I know how well they would grow especially when DH fertilizes "his"plants it benefits my trumpet vine. hehe. My DH curses it every time he prunes it. I just laugh and enjoy the beauty and memories. hehe
Using a gelli plate, the leaves and acrylic paint I made this panel. Coloring was done with the various paints I listed in the accessories.
Doodled around the image to pop it a little. Instead of a sentiment I thought the xoxo would let her know she is loved.
Put this on a turquoise card adding the black and white dots with a stylus and paints. Done.
Well another fine day in the art world. hehe TFL :0)
Hi Sis!.....This ones for you! xoxo

This is lovely! I just love your Geli plate work. I have never tried it. The little white dots add a lot to the leaves.
Why don't you put your sis on the teapot list. I'm sure a lot of people remember her, I do. It would be nice for her to get a bunch of cards from us on SCS. If you want to pm me her addy I will send her a card.

Cathy, this is just SO beautiful, a real work of art and heart. I'm sorry that CJ is still going through the trials of life - say hi from me. I was hoping to see a gelli-plate card from you for this, I knew leaves would be perfect. The background is beautiful, so is the leaf. I love the black and white dots on it. And the blue borders just lift it and make it "happy".
